So this is a staircase I did in Fauntleroy. These stairs were all bullnose stairs with the left side of the carpet folded over in order to have a nice carpet transition with the stair case. Folding over the edge of the carpet makes for a very nice clean look along the railing versus having a cut and exposed edge of the carpet showing. In addition to folding the side of the carpet I had to cut the wood stair T- moldings along the side of each bullnose lip by the railing. By doing so I was able to put the mitered corner of the wood T-moldings back together and maintain the wood to carpet look along the side of each stair by the railings. The bottom arch stair really enhanced the look once the carpet was installed.
